The Shop Stewards are the members' first line of defense and the Local's biggest asset.

Be sure to say thanks to your Shop Steward the next time you see him or her. These dedicated members volunteer their time and knowledge to keep you safe and protect your rights in the workplace.
Take advantage of what they have learned, listen to their advice, talk to them before you "go off" on the boss or refuse to do something. Be sure you know who they are .... where you work!
